A Land of Majestic Marvels Waiting to Be Explored
Jordan was an absolute gem of a destination that you simply can’t afford to miss. Lisa and I kicked off our adventure in the bustling capital of Amman. We decided to splurge on a car and driver for the entire trip, and boy, was that a stroke of genius. We cruised through the desert of Wadi Rum, paid our respects at the memorial of Moses on Mount Nebo, and had a hilarious time trying to float in the Dead Sea. Spoiler alert: you can’t really swim in it, but the floating experience is a riot. One minute you’re on your back, the next you’re on your stomach – it’s like a magic trick for grown-ups. And let’s not forget the mud that’s supposed to make you look younger. Did it work? Not really, but it sure gave us a good laugh.

We sipped drinks in a cave, dined at local eateries, and even indulged in some stargazing in the desert. But the pièce de résistance was our visit to Petra. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. Words fail me when I try to describe the sheer awe of turning a corner and being greeted by such a breathtaking sight. Petra and the Taj Mahal will forever hold a special place in my heart – they’re simply too stunning to be missed.
